ACE State Budget Submission
ANHLC prepared the ACE state budget submission in partnership with ACEVic aimed at strengthening Learn Local providers and improving the training system to better meet the needs of our communities.
Importantly the submission puts a strong case as to why ACE providers should not be considered the same as private providers based on the requirements placed on ACE providers by virtue of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006. The submission is based on the policies outlined in the One Vision policy statement and the submission to the Essential Services Commission review, available on the ANHLC website at http://www.anhlc.asn.au/anhlc-acevic-submission-essential-services-commi...
The ACE peaks have agreed to the priorities identified by providers at the recent 2011 Brainfood Conference. The number one priority identified was a lifting of the cap on pre-accredited training closely followed by increasing the Student Contact Hours rate for ACE providers. The submission will be sent to all providers and members are encouraged to advocate for the changes with their local MPs.
