ANHLC OH&S Project Final Report Out Now

Funded in 2008 by WorkSafe, the ANHLC OH&S project is now successfully completed. The project offered all ANHLC members a no cost opportunity to have an OH&S specialist conduct an on site safety audit and produce a detailed Safety Action Plan tailor made for their House, Centre or Network Office.

The project was a great success with 48% of all ANHLC members participating, 82.2% of participants indicating they were satisfied or extrememely satisfied with the audit and 75.4% saying they had started on implementation of their Safety Action Plans.

ANHLC members that did not take up the OH&S audit opportunity during the project may still be able to organise one via WorkSafe or VCOSS. See the Key OH&S Resources list below for details and a list of must have OH&S resources.

In third term 2011 ANHLC will conduct two sets of OH&S workshops. The first is an Introduction to OH&S for organisations yet to have a safety audit. The second supports Safety Action Plan implememtation for organisations that have had a safety audit and are keen to get going on putting their Plan into action. Workshops will be held in a Houses and Centre in the metro and regional locations, details available soon.
