Announcement of 2010 ANHLC Board

Following Monday's Annual General Meeting ANHLC are pleased to announce the new Board of Management for 2010.  There were 9 vacancies on the Board and 10 nominations were received so an election was conducted.  ANHLC are very pleased that an election was held, as it is the sign of a healthy organisation and an engaged membership.

From the result of a very close election, the following Board members were re-elected to continue a new term:

  • Sandra Anderson (Committee of Management, BarwonNet and Norlane Neighbourhood House)
  • Elain Bakker (Coordinator, Rye Beach Community Centre)
  • Anne Learmonth (Committee of Management, Jika Jika Community Centre)
  • Glenys McBride (Committee of Management, Heyfield Community Resource Centre)
  • Jan Simmons (CEO, Morrisons)
  • Kay Vrieze (Executive Manager, Narre Community Learning Centre)
  • Lisa Young (Manager, Clota Cottage Neighbourhood House)

And the following people were elected to the Board commencing their first term:

  • Clare De Kok (Coordinator, McIvor Neighbourhood House)
  • Margaret Watt (Coordinator, Port Fairy Neighbourhood House)

They will be joining the following Board members who are still completing their current terms:

  • Jenni Bramham (Manager, Vermont South Community House)
  • Ivana Csar (Coordinator, Lalor Living and Learning Centre)
  • Ron Moore (Committee of Management, RANCH)
  • Kylie Pollock (Networker, BarwonNet).

ANHLC would like to thank retiring Board member Paul Sladdin for all his hard work and commitment over the past two years, and wish him all the best for the future.

ANHLC thank the new Board members for taking up the challenge and everyone else involved for their ongoing commitment to the organisation and sector. We would also like to thank all those who nominated and encourage the sector to become involved in ANHLC working parties to assist in the development and support of the NH&LC sector.
