Help ACOSS advocate for the Community Sector
The Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) needs to hear from you about how we advocate for the community sector!
So far, we have had a good response to the 2012 Australian Community Sector Survey.
But we urgently need more feedback from our sector to make the Survey results meaningful and to give you the best quality information about how the sector is travelling.
There are many web surveys these days – the difference is this survey is very important in how we advocate for the sector.
The Survey is your organisation’s chance to let government and the public know how you’re travelling --- we need reliable information from you and your organisation to make a difference to the sector in all kinds of ways (from funding to where services are needed).
We’re hoping for hundreds more responses from the sector to reach our response targets for 2012 --- so please do the sector a favour and participate today or as soon as possible. Fieldwork must end in the next few weeks so we’re hoping for a big effort from everyone.
To make completing the Survey easy, it will help to have:
• Information about client numbers and profile in key services for the 2009/10 and 2010/11 years as well as turnaway rates;
• Financial data for the last two years;
• Staffing information for the last two years.
Please take the time to help us help the sector in 2012.
If it is easier to complete the survey off line, you can download a copy here and send it back. Please do not save this as a PDF form as we have discovered that some fields are not saving incorrectly – it needs to be printed and filled out by hand, then sent back to ACOSS by email.
Each survey respondent goes into the draw to win free registration to ACOSS 2013 conference, a prize worth around $650.
