Modern Awards Workshops

VCOSS will be again partnering with Jobs Australia to hold six more Modern Award workshops  that will provide information about the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHCADS) otherwise known as the Modern Award.

Transition to the classifications and loadings of the Modern Award has been put off until 1 February 2012 leaving time to learn and ask questions about what is involved in the transition.

Some of the content covered in the workshop includes:

- Framework of the Fair Work Act

- Key conditions set by SCHCADS

- Pay Equity case

The half day workshops are designed for senior managers such as human resource managers or finance officers who are responsible for the employer’s obligations under the Award & will be supported with written materials. Workshops will be limited to one place per organisation.

Thursday 8th September 2011: 9:30am – 1pm Geelong (Barwon South West)

Tuesday 13th September 2011: 9:30am – 1pm Mildura (Loddon Mallee)

Wednesday 21st September 2011: 11:00am – 2:30pm Shepparton (Hume)

Monday 26th September 2011: 11:00am – 2:30pm Morwell (Gippsland)
