Workshop Description: An Introduction to OH&S - it's more than chairs, tables and lifting stuff!
Put simply it’s the law that the employer (management committee) is responsible for ensuring both paid staff and volunteers have a safe and healthy workplace. But it’s not just about the desks, chairs and lifting! Sticking by OH&S law is also about balancing workload, implementing family friendly practice, involving all staff and volunteers in important organisational planning and decision making, developing the talents and interests of your people and nurturing a positive workplace culture. Come along to this workshop for information about OH&S law, resources that will help you stick by the rules and implement good OH&S practice to strengthen your organisation.
