This week in the ICT Projects,

We had our first meeting with our new funding body DHS and heard about where they see this project fitting. We discussed the project charter documents that are all available https://sites.google.com/site/ictcapacitybuilding and I will be fleshing out those docs into project plans.

Highlights:

Culture Change – Next week Angela and I fly up to Mildura to run the first of our workshops asking coordinators what they would do if they had less admin and more time at work?

Networked Community – RANCH Network went shopping for wireless modems to trial in rural and regional areas.

Website Templates – Project team met up in Geelong and had exciting discussions over the next steps in the project.

Crossing the IT Bridge – The good folks at CHAOS Network are about to travel to the Western District to progress this project further. Happy Travels!

Online Course Finder – Despite getting ready to leave her Networker position, Mary has been planning and scoping this project. Her next step is to gather interested and knowledgable people around a table to narrow down the project and make it doable

ANHLC Information Sharing – We’ve spent some of this week sending Minister Kate Ellis (the federal member in charge of childcare) stories of the impacts on our services due to cutting Take A Break funding via Facebook and Twitter. We’ve also been reading your wonderful communiqués about NH Week happenings (We feel like we’ve been there with you!).

We’ve been investigating event and project management software, and working to finalise charter documents. We’ve also begun brainstorming about the Mega ICT Survey we’ll run in early June.
